Warren Wildcats Succeed with Honor Roll School Recognition

Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) was one of 28 school districts to be named a 2019-2020 California Honor Roll District and more than 73% of the district’s schools were named 2019-2020 California Honor Roll Schools.

The California Honor Roll program recognizes school districts and schools that are leaders in getting students to grade-level and beyond and demonstrate high achievement in student success, a reduction in achievement gaps, and high college readiness in students.

The 48 GGUSD schools named to the 2019-2020 California Honor Roll include Allen, Anthony, Barker, Brookhurst, Clinton, Cook, Crosby, Evans, Excelsior, Faylane, Gilbert, Hazard, Hill, Lawrence, Marshall, Mitchell, Monroe, Morningside, Murdy, Newhope, Northcutt, Paine, Parkview, Patton, Post, Rosita, Stanford, Stanley, Sunnyside, Warren, Woodbury, and Zeyen elementary schools; Alamitos, Bell, Doig, Irvine, Jordan, Lake, McGarvin, Ralston, and Walton intermediate schools; Bolsa Grande, Garden Grove, La Quinta, Los Amigos, Pacifica, Santiago, and Rancho Alamitos high schools.

“This recognition reflects our district’s steadfast commitment to educational excellence and our high-quality instructional programs that result in student success,” said Dina L. Nguyen GGUSD Board of Education trustee.

California Honor Roll schools exhibit evidence-based instructional practices, learning objectives aligned to college and career readiness, and data that monitors and proves high achieving student performance.
